Letting go of Perfection to get Perfect

Motherhood has definitely changed me in many ways. It has influenced so much of my work this year and has given my “eye” a new perspective. I have let go of some “photo rules” and really have been finding new ways express my imagery. Whether is be a unique angle or showing something with motion blur I have been digging deep to present fresh captures. I have been more laid back in my shooting style and that has helped me capture those special candid moments that we all love. The classic portrait is a must in my sessions but those in between moments can really be special too. I find working in a simple location and really focusing on just you seems to bring out my best work. This family invited me to their property where they recently build their dream home. Of course with 3 boys the session was nuts but we embraced the chaos and it really is one my favs from this past fall. Enjoy this beautiful family that has been with me since day one.
